03/18/2013 Gotschlich Flap-gate Barriers for Wladiwostok Aeroexpress
Gotschlich was awarded another contract for the equipment of airport rail link terminals with access control equipment. It is for the Aeroexpress in Wladiwostok, the easternmost city in Russia.
Access to the trains connecting the central train station of the harbour city on the Japanese Sea in eastern Siberia with the Knevichi airport in 48 minutes every hour is controlled using eight Gotschlich Selection DF flap-gate sensor barriers per terminal that can be used in both directions. Using two additional Ikarus Baden motorized gates, in each of the terminals a 1,200 mm wide special lane for use by transportation vehicles was created as well.
Axel Wälde, Gotschlich export sales director, is pleased about the second contract equipping a Russian airport rail link that is also the most eastern Gotschlich installation. “An installation this far from our nearest base requires a tremendous amount of trust by the customer in the equipment’s problem-free operation. We were able to create this confidence with the friction-free installations at the Moscow airport express terminals.“
The third Gotschlich airport rail link project in Russia will be access control equipment for the line connecting Sotchi airport with the black sea resort and the competition sites of the 2014 Olympics. The contract for this has already been rewarded.
